Job summary

Last Mile is recruiting a Business Development Manager for North England on maternity cover (6-9 months). You will develop new opportunities with housebuilders, master developers and consultants across Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Yorkshire, targeting organisations with limited or no established relationships.

Qualifications

• Track record of winning new business from a standing start, opening accounts where there was no prior relationship.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a targeted list of housebuilders, master developers and consultants.
• Research, call, visit and network with key decision makers across technical, commercial, buying, land and regional leadership teams.
• Monitor land and planning activity, engage customers early and provide initial budget quotations to secure involvement at feasibility stage.
• Qualify enquiries and lead bids from initial brief through to proposal, working with design and estimating teams to develop competitive technical and commercial solutions.
• Present and negotiate offers, manage objections and requotes, secure contracts and ensure a smooth handover to delivery while developing repeat business.
• Maintain accurate customer activity, opportunities and forecasts in simPRO, and share relevant market intelligence with the wider sales team.
