Job summary

AMF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Business Development Manager in the Sheffield area. The role focuses on representing the business, developing new opportunities with both existing and new customers, and managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close.

You will oversee orders with site liaison, attend trade events as required, and ensure adherence to Health & Safety and Quality policies. A permanent position includes remote work with occasional site visits.

Responsibilities

• Make and maintain contact with current customer base and develop good working relations with appropriate contacts.
• Develop and maintain good working relations.
• Oversee orders placed in liaison with the site personnel.
• Pursue new business opportunities to grow the account.
• Make presentations on behalf of the business as and when may be required.
• Prepare and present quotes and proposals for business opportunities.
• Manage the full sales cycle through lead generation, RFQ response, pricing strategy, negotiation and contract close.
• Track industry trends, competitor capabilities and market shifts, etc.,
• Represent the business at trade shows, industry events where required
• Working with other colleagues, ensure the implementation of the company's policies and goals, including in particular Health & Safety and Quality.
• Attend monthly management meetings to update the team on sales opportunities and developments.
• Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures at all times.
• Treat all colleagues in a professional, fair and empathetic manner.
• Work on your own initiative as required ensuring the smooth, efficient and effective availability of support is available for the business.
• Be flexible to provide colleagues and the business support wherever this may be required.
