Job summary

Aspion is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager for the North West region. This field-based role focuses on generating new business, building a UK-wide client network, and representing the company across the manufacturing sector.

You will travel to client sites, attend meetings and site visits, and collaborate with internal teams to drive revenue. Hybrid working options are available and a driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven business-development or sales experience within manufacturing is essential.
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
• Strong new-business development and relationship-management skills.
• Confident approaching prospective customers and generating your own opportunities.
• Commercially aware, with the ability to understand customer needs and present effective solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, organised and able to manage a busy workload.
• Comfortable travelling throughout the UK.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the manufacturing sector.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
• Arrange and attend client meetings, site visits and presentations.
• Develop long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
• Understand customer requirements and provide suitable commercial solutions.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial presentations.
• Negotiate terms and successfully close new business.
• Work closely with internal operations, production and customer service teams.
• Monitor market activity, industry trends and competitor developments.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities and forecasts.
• Achieve agreed revenue and business-development targets.
• Attend the Liverpool office once per week and travel nationally when required.
