Job summary

CPS Group (UK) Limited is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer/Consultant to design, build and deploy secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for complex government and private sector projects. The role involves working across multiple programmes, with predominantly remote delivery and periodic travel to client sites in London.

You will implement IaC, automate deployments, and help scale new applications while adhering to security best practices and UK government standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS in commercial projects.
• Hands-on IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Containerised architectures with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implementing and securing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and platform services.
• Eligibility for UK security clearance; British citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building new AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Developing and deploying infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Designing, implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines.
• Building and supporting platform services for containerised applications.
• Automating deployment, operation and monitoring processes.
• Supporting the deployment and scaling of new applications and services.
• Applying security best practices across cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
• Working closely with engineering teams to onboard products onto shared platform services.
• Helping solve complex technical and infrastructure challenges.
• Working directly with customers and technical stakeholders where required.
