Job summary

National Skills Agency Ltd is actively seeking an experienced Skills Coach to support apprentices across the UK. You will deliver targeted 1:1 coaching, provide meaningful feedback, and help learners embed their learning in real work settings.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, Ofsted/DfE compliance, and collaborative engagement with employers to ensure measurable learner success and ongoing programme improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching apprentices within a UK-based training provider.
• Strong understanding of e-portfolios and digital learning tools.
• Demonstrated ability to support learners to embed knowledge in practice.
• Recognised teaching qualification (AET/CET/DET/PGCE).
• Assessor qualification (A1/CAVA).

Responsibilities

• Learner Coaching & Support: Manage a caseload of apprentices, delivering personalised 1:1 coaching that encourages reflection and growth.
• Assessment & Feedback: Assess project work and portfolios with detailed feedback.
• Progress Monitoring: Conduct regular reviews and set measurable goals for learners.
• Learning Embedded in Practice: Help learners apply knowledge directly in their roles.
• Workshop Facilitation: Deliver engaging sessions, virtual or in-person.
• E-Portfolio Management: Use platforms to document progress and outcomes.
• Employer Collaboration: Build relationships to align learning with employer needs.
• Safeguarding & Compliance: Uphold safeguarding standards and Ofsted/DfE requirements.
• Impact & Value Add: Identify opportunities to stretch learners and drive impact.
• Continuous Improvement: Share learner insights to improve curriculum and delivery.
