Job summary

National Skills Agency Ltd is seeking a Skills Coach to support and shape apprenticeship learners across the UK. The role centers on coaching, feedback, and embedding learning in real-world work, requiring experience in apprenticeships or training sectors.

You will work with learners and employers to deliver personalised coaching, impactful feedback, and learning interventions that drive growth while ensuring alignment with Ofsted and DfE requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching apprentices within a UK-based training provider.
• Strong understanding of e-portfolios and digital learning tools.
• Demonstrated ability to support learners to embed knowledge in practice and make a measurable impact in their roles.
• Recognised teaching qualification (AET/CET/DET/PGCE).
• Assessor qualification (A1/CAVA).
• Relevant industry experience and qualification at Level 6 or above.
• Familiarity with apprenticeship standards and assessment practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of apprentices, delivering personalised 1:1 coaching that encourages reflection and practical application.
• Assess project work, assignments, and portfolios with detailed feedback.
• Conduct regular progress reviews and set measurable goals for learner success.
• Support learners in applying knowledge and skills to their real-world roles.
• Deliver engaging workshops, virtually or in person, aligned with the curriculum.
• Utilise e-portfolio platforms to document progress and evidence outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with employers to align learning with organisational goals.
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and Ofsted/DfE standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery through learner insights.
