Job summary

Alignerr seeks Software Engineers in Manchester and the North West to build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code. You will help train AI systems to think like real developers by writing solutions, reviewing outputs, and giving expert feedback.

This is hands‑on engineering work at the frontier of AI development, fully remote with flexible hours. You’ll work independently, on your own schedule, across multiple languages and platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/SE.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to read, write, and reason about code clearly.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across a range of languages, frameworks, and problem domains
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works — or doesn't
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
