Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Physics Subject Matter Expert (AI Training) to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. The role is remote, hourly, with 10–40 hours per week, offering flexible scheduling and freelance autonomy.

You will design challenging physics problems across mechanics, electromagnetism, and thermodynamics; develop clear, step-by-step solutions; and evaluate AI responses for accuracy and reasoning quality.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master's degree in Physics or related field.
• Strong problem-solving across advanced physics domains.
• Clear written communication of complex ideas.
• Self-motivated and independent work.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and more.
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate structured reasoning.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy and quality of reasoning.
• Identify gaps in AI understanding and provide expert feedback to improve model performance.
• Collaborate with researchers to develop and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics topics.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
