Job summary

BID Services Lincolnshire is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team, providing support to adults with sensory impairment to help them live independently. Roles are in Lincolnshire locations, with some positions requiring a vehicle for travel and on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include companionship, assistance with finances and daily tasks, domestic support, and transportation to appointments. BSL Level 2 is desirable for some roles and flexibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and patient approach to supporting adults with sensory impairment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and report concerns appropriately
• Flexible, reliable and able to work on a rota
• Valid driving licence and access to vehicle
• BSL Level 2 desirable for some roles

Responsibilities

We are seeking passionate and empathetic individuals to work as part of the BID Services Lincolnshire team that provides a range of services to adults that have a sensory impairment and associated disabilities. As part of the role, you will support our service user who are Deaf, Deafblind, Visually Impaired to enable them and their family to live independent lives. We currently have roles in Lincoln, Spalding and Boston.

• Provide companionship and assistance support
• Providing support with managing finances
• Providing domestic support such as shopping
• Support with driving to appointments and daily tasks
• BSL Level 2 desirable and required in some roles
• To be successful for this role it is desirable that you have experience working with service users with a sensory impairment and associated disabilities to be able to maintain and respect confidentiality, Able to identify changing needs and report accordingly. The successful candidate will need to have or have access to a vehicle to and full driving license, must be flexible and able to work to a rota system.
