Job summary

Lincolnshire County Council is recruiting two Support Workers to help people with disabilities live full, meaningful lives in Lincoln. The role offers hybrid working and flexible hours across the week, including some weekends and evenings.

We value good communication, a positive outlook and the willingness to learn. A driving licence with vehicle access is advantageous; 2 full-time positions are available with a contributory pension and benefits package.

Job description

We are seeking two Support Workers. It's our job to help people with disabilities live each day to the full. We're developing our community day services in Lincoln, and this is an exciting time to join our experienced and friendly team. We make sure we offer a wide range of purposeful opportunities which help the people we support have new and meaningful experiences and develop new skills. With a focus on sharing your talents, interests and skills, bring your energy, and can-do approach, and help make a difference every day.

We are looking for Support Workers who can work flexibly, with a positive outlook, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn. The ability to drive with access to a vehicle for work would be an advantage. We have 2 x full-time roles. Please talk to us about the hours available, we work flexibly across the week including some weekends and evenings.

A wide range of people with disabilities access our bases, which are well-established in the local community, and well used by a range of community groups. Working with the skills, talents, likes and needs of each person we support, you will provide a range of meaningful and purposeful opportunities which help everyone maintain and develop new skills, try new things, and make a positive contribution to their community.

You'll support people with a wide range of activities and opportunities, including:

• Healthy eating & cookery
• Creative arts – woodwork, pottery, music, making things to sell or exhibit.
• Gardening & horticulture
• Personal development & wellbeing

• Intensive interaction & sensory support
