Job summary

Salvation Army Homes in Doncaster is seeking a Relief Support Worker for casual shifts and short-term placements within our supported housing service. You will get to know clients, help them build independence, and encourage participation in social activities while supporting basic living needs.

Qualifications

  • Be a confident and capable communicator.
  • Be able to build trusting, professional relationships.
  • Help people to develop their skills, strengths and talents.
  • Have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and/or supporting vulnerable people or groups.
  • Ideally participate in our on call rota as required, when engaged.

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is attracted to covering occasional shifts on a casual basis or for short term periods in our supported housing service in Doncaster. At Salvation Army Homes we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement. The Relief Support Worker will work with people who are or have recently experienced homelessness and who are in need of support and accommodation. As a Relief Support Worker you will need to:
