Job summary

Salvation Army Homes is seeking a Night Concierge to provide a waking overnight on-site presence for 26 young men aged 18-25, ensuring safety and wellbeing. The role requires engaging with residents, upholding Licence and Good Neighbour agreements, and responding to emergencies while maintaining building security.

You will operate in a lone-working capacity within a committed team, with a focus on transforming lives and fostering positive outcomes through a supportive, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator capable of de-escalation in challenging situations.
• Ability to build professional relationships and maintain resilience.
• Experience working with homeless or vulnerable populations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to reports of property repairs and maintenance issues within the accommodation, following appropriate procedures.

The Role

We are looking for a Night Concierge worker to provide a waking, overnight on-site presence in the Service, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of 26 young men aged 18-25 years old.

You will instinctively work in a manner that aligns fully with Salvations Army Homes values and behaviours, demonstrating energy and passion, along with a positive can-do attitude in your contribution as a night concierge to transforming lives.

What you’ll be doing

Working Arrangements

• Service based at The Limes, Longsight, Manchester
• Rota based includes weekends (working 4 days on/4 days off, shift times 10pm - 8am)
• The Night Concierge Role is a Lone Working Role
