Job summary

Salvation Army Homes in Guildford is seeking a Relief Support Worker to empower vulnerable women to achieve positive outcomes by delivering safe, supported accommodation. You will cover essential duties across the rota, respond to emergencies, and work within a trauma-informed framework.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will help residents develop skills and independence, maintain records, and follow safeguarding policies while contributing to a welcoming, inclusive service.

Responsibilities

• Provide relief cover across the rota to ensure essential duties are carried out effectively.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents by responding to emergency situations and contacting the appropriate emergency services when required.
• Encourage and support residents to engage in a range of activities that enable their skills, strengths, and independence to be developed and recognised.
• Actively engage residents in understanding the service and their responsibilities under their Licence Agreement and Good Neighbour Agreement.
• Respond promptly to reports of property repairs and maintenance issues within the accommodation, following appropriate procedures.
• Maintain awareness of and comply with Salvation Army Homes' safeguarding, health and safety policies and procedures, reporting and addressing concerns in line with local requirements.
• Maintain accurate client records, reports, and outcome measurements in accordance with Salvation Army Homes' systems and record-keeping requirements.
