Wilson James is hiring a Relief Security Officer to cover sites across Manchester, Lincoln, Nottingham and Rotherham. The role is permanent, zero hours, with a pay of £12.71 per hour.

You will monitor premises, patrol, manage access points and CCTV, respond to alarms and incidents, and complete detailed reports. Travel between client sites and shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current DS SIA Licence.
• Ability to travel between Manchester, Lincoln, Nottingham and Rotherham.
• Experience in security or similar role.

Responsabilités

• Welcoming staff and visitors, creating a safe, professional atmosphere.
• Conducting patrols and monitoring premises to prevent unauthorised access, theft or vandalism.
• Monitoring access points, CCTV and handling security procedures.
• Responding to alarms, emergencies and security incidents, taking appropriate action.
• Completing detailed reports on daily activities, incidents and security concerns.
• Assisting in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required.
• Adapting to different client sites – no two days are the same.
• Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns.
• Working as part of a diverse, supportive team.

About the Role:

As a Relief Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

What we are looking for:

• To hold a current DS SIA Licence
• Able to travel around Manchester, Lincoln, Nottingham and Rotherham
• Proven experience in a security role or a similar position.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and respond to security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors, and authorities.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
