Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services seeks a Retail Security Officer for Lidl, St Marychurch Torquay. This role covers Sundays and Mondays with overtime to cover leave, at 17 hours per week, paid £14.30 per hour. You will receive full training, a strong induction, and opportunities in a retail security setting.

Qualifications

• Door supervision or security guarding license is required.
• Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment or education.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor.
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training.
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates.
• Collaborate with covert security operatives.
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders.
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation.
• Record crime incidents using a company-provided tablet.
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety.
• Provide security updates during store briefings.
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all.

Education
