KA Leisure is seeking a Relief Recreation Assistant (Cafe) to support daily cafe operations in Largs, Scotland. You will help open/close the cafe, serve food and drinks, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The role requires flexibility, working as and when required, and adherence to Food Safety guidelines. Successful applicants may be invited to join PVG checks as part of safeguarding requirements.

Rate of Pay: £14.10 per hour

Hours: As and when required

Role Summary

To undertake a variety of tasks which may include the cleaning of designated areas and assisting in the provision of a quality catering service. Also responsible for ensuring they are prepared for customers before and during cafe opening hours and maintaining the cafe to the required standards of cleanliness and safety.

To undertake any other reasonably required duties as instructed by Management or someone acting on their behalf, in addition to the role specific tasks & responsibilities detailed below.

Role Specific Tasks

Catering environment duties will include:

• Opening and closing the cafe
• Preparing and serving food and beverages whilst operating within Food Safety and Nutrition guidelines
• General catering and specific cleaning duties

Additional Information

Regulated Work with Children/Protected Adults

Where work is considered regulated work with children and/or protected adults, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children and/or protected adults. Dependent on the classification of post, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG scheme, undergo a PVG Scheme update or complete a Police Check Scotland prior to a formal offer of employment being made by KA Leisure.

PLEASE NOTE: Successful candidates will meet the cost of the relevant PVG/Police Scotland check; it will be deducted from salary following commencement of employment with the Company.
