Job summary

FirstPort is seeking a Relief Development Manager to support our Surrey developments on a zero-hour contract. You’ll ensure welcoming environments, maintain buildings, and keep residents informed about changes, events or works.

The role involves travel across sites, strong administration, and a customer-focused approach to delivering first-class service. You will report to the Area Manager and will need IT proficiency and a professional, calm approach when handling emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service environment.
• Passion for exceptional customer service at all times.
• Ability to resolve issues and complaints quickly and effectively.
• Experience handling challenging/emergency situations.
• Experience performing daily checks and keeping records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development / office and ensure residents are checked within requirements.
• In emergencies, call the appropriate response team or authorities.
• Carry out daily checks to keep the building safe and secure and manage contractors.
• Raise orders, manage contractors, monitor progress and sign off completion.
• Help build a sense of community by supporting a Social Committee to plan and run events.
• Maintain links with residents’ families, local authorities, doctors, social workers, and health authorities as required.
• Maintain records in line with procedures and keep data secure at all times.
• Ensure the development diary is completed and handover notes are prepared for the permanent House Manager.
• Assist in the sale and re-sale of property via estate agents and welcome new residents.
• Travel to team/company meetings on a monthly/annual basis.
