Job summary

FirstPort Limited is seeking a Relief Development Manager to cover a portfolio of properties across Colchester and surrounding towns. The role is field-based; a full driving licence and own vehicle are essential.

You will supervise building safety, contractor works, and resident engagement across multiple sites within the region. You will work with a local team to ensure high standards of service, safety, and community relations, while supporting neighbor associations and coordinating with

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on residents and colleagues.
• Strong communication and issue-resolution abilities.
• Understanding of health & safety in a property management context.
• Proficient with standard IT tools and software.
• Organised, methodical and capable of keeping accurate records.
• Outgoing personality with team-oriented, proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development and office, ensure residents are checked within requirements.
• In emergencies, call the appropriate response team or authorities.
• Carry out daily checks to keep buildings safe and secure; manage contractors.
• Ensure works are completed: raise orders, monitor progress, sign-off.
• Encourage Residents Association and social events for residents.
• Build links with residents' families, local authorities and health bodies.
