Job summary

Avante Care & Support Ltd. is opening Malling Grange and seeks a Relief Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen team at Malling Grange and Pilgrims View in Snodland. You will help prepare meals, serve residents, and maintain a warm, welcoming dining environment.

Full training will be provided as the home opens later in 2026. The role offers an hourly rate of £12.75–£12.95 with full training, DBS check, and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Environmental Health Certificate in Food Hygiene (essential)
• Experience in a similar role and/or City & Guilds qualification (desirable)
• Passion for making meals that bring joy to others

Responsibilities

• Prep fresh ingredients – fruits, vegetables, and more
• Assist with meal preparation and support the Cook/Head Chef
• Serve meals and ensure mealtimes are enjoyable for residents
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe, and hygienic
• Follow food hygiene, safety, and nutritional standards every day
• Help plan menus with input from residents
• Ensure high standards of care in line with Eden Alternative Philosophy
