Job summary

Riverside Group is seeking a Relief Worker to support residents across Centenary House & Newstead House in Derby. The role involves providing a high quality, customer-oriented service, under supervision, with no physical care.

You’ll help with housing-related support, maintain dignity and wellbeing, and work flexibly to cover shifts as required in a 24-hour service for homelessness and related needs. The ideal candidate will have compassion, patience, excellent communication, and a team-focused

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people from various backgrounds.
• Compassion, patience and empathy.
• Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to cover shifts, sometimes at short notice.
• Approachable with a positive attitude.
• Team player who can work flexibly to meet requirements.
• Basic literacy and numeracy.
• Knowledge of safeguarding adults at risk.
• IT skills including Word and Excel; willing to learn systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality, customer-oriented service under supervision.
• Assist in housing-related support to customers.
• Maintain dignity and promote health and wellbeing in a safe environment.
• Foster effective communication with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in timely manner.
• Undertake training and development as required.
• Travel to other Riverside locations as needed.
