Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking a Relief Care & Support Assistant to join The Pottery in Clevedon. You will provide high quality care to residents, carry out housekeeping and assist with activities to promote health and wellbeing.

The role is on an as-and-when basis with an hourly rate of £13.70, plus up to £1.30 extra for evenings and weekends. You will book appointments, arrange transport, assist with outings and everyday tasks, and support residents to participate in activities to enhance

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support environment preferred.
• Passion for wellbeing of older people and teamwork.
• Customer service mindset and positive attitude.
• QCF Health & Social Care Level 2 or equivalent considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care to residents.
• Carry out housekeeping and domestic support.
• Help residents book appointments and arrange transport.
• Escort residents on visits and assist with shopping.
• Encourage participation in activities to improve health and wellbeing.
