Job summary

McCarthy Stone is recruiting a Relief Care & Support Assistant for Cherrett Court in Ferndown, Dorset. You will deliver residential care, housekeeping, and support with activities to promote wellbeing, working on an as-and-when basis. An ideal candidate has care experience and a passion for improving older adults’ lives.

QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred. Salary is £13.26 per hour, with up to £1.30 extra for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support environment preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care and support to residents.
• Carry out housekeeping and domestic duties across the estate.
• Assist residents with appointments, transport, shopping and activities.
• Support residents to maintain health and wellbeing.
