Job summary

McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a Care Assistant to join the team at Mewstone Place in Dartmouth, Devon. The role offers 20 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.70, plus up to £1.30 more for evenings and weekends, enabling residents to enjoy a high quality of life in retirement living.

You will provide personal care, light housekeeping, and assist with activities and outings. The role emphasises compassion, team collaboration, and a commitment to wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience in care or support environment.
• Passion for wellbeing of older people and enjoy working as part of a team in a busy setting.
• Driven to deliver excellent customer service and support to residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality individual care to residents and assist with daily living activities.
• Deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the estate, including apartment cleans.
• Assist residents with appointments, transport, activities, and accompany them on visits as needed.
