McCarthy Stone is seeking a Relief Care Assistant based in Bedford, working at one modern location with no travel between clients. You’ll deliver person-centred care in a retirement living setting, with shifts including early and late, and some weekend work.

Training is provided and you’ll join a compassionate, professional care team. The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£13.26–£14.56 for some evening/weekend shifts), a pension, life assurance, and access to employee discounts platform.

Qualifications

• Warm, friendly and passionate about supporting older adults.
• Experience in care is beneficial but not required.
• Over 18 years old; driving is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
• Support residents with personal care and daily routines.
• Organise and join activities; assist with practical tasks.
• Escort residents on outings and appointments; light cleaning duties.
