Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer to recruit a Reliability Engineer for their East Kilbride site. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and driving proactive maintenance across the site.

The ideal candidate will hold an engineering qualification or equivalent experience, with proven reliability/maintenance experience in FMCG/manufacturing.

Qualifications

• RCA, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement skills are required.
• Hands-on, practical problem-solver with engineering background.
• Experience in reliability/maintenance within FMCG/manufacturing is preferred.
• Engineering qualification or equivalent experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Drive reliability improvements across plant and equipment.
• Analyse breakdowns and identify root causes.
• Develop and improve preventative maintenance strategies.
• Support continuous improvement and engineering projects.
• Work with Production and Engineering teams to improve OEE and reduce downtime.
• Use maintenance data and CMMS to identify trends and opportunities.

• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to improve OEE and reduce downtime
• Use maintenance data and CMMS systems to identify trends and opportunities

The ideal candidate:

• Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
• Previous reliability, maintenance or engineering experience within FMCG/manufacturing
• Strong understanding of RCA, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
• Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
