Job summary

NT Engineering & Manufacturing in Edinburgh is seeking a Reliability Manager to lead the site's reliability strategy and manage a team of reliability technicians and a planner. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime and foster a culture of continuous improvement across a busy FMCG manufacturing site, ensuring planned maintenance is effective.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering or maintenance teams within FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Proven track record of improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
• Solid understanding of root cause investigation techniques.
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Some exposure to predictive maintenance methods such as vibration analysis or thermography.
• Strong communication skills across-site collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the site's overall reliability performance, including breakdown frequency, repair times, planned maintenance compliance and equipment availability.
• Lead investigations into equipment failures to identify root causes and implement lasting fixes.
• Manage and develop the maintenance system used across the site, ensuring planned maintenance is carried out on time and data is used properly.
• Assess which assets are most critical to the business and help shape future investment decisions.
• Lead, coach and develop your team, setting clear objectives and supporting their growth.

Reliability Manager – Edinburgh – FMCG Manufacturing

We are working on behalf of a well established FMCG manufacturer in Edinburgh, who are looking to appoint a Reliability Manager to join their site leadership team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineering or reliability professional to take ownership of reliability strategy across a busy, fast paced manufacturing site. You will lead a team of reliability technicians and a planner, working closely with the Engineering Manager to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime and build a strong culture of continuous improvement.

What you will be doing

• Take responsibility for the site's overall reliability performance, including breakdown frequency, repair times, planned maintenance compliance and equipment availability
• Lead investigations into equipment failures, making sure the real cause is found and properly fixed rather than just patched up
• Manage and develop the maintenance system used across the site, ensuring planned maintenance is carried out on time and the data is used properly
• Assess which assets are most critical to the business and help shape future investment decisions
• Lead, coach and develop your team, setting clear objectives and supporting their growth

What we are looking for
