Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established food manufacturing business to recruit an Engineering Shift Lead for their busy East Kilbride site. You will lead the engineering function on shift, ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and maintaining high standards across the site.

Working closely with Production and the wider Engineering team, you will lead the engineering team on shift and ensure planned and reactive maintenance is completed

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading or supervising an engineering team.
• Hands-on operator with the ability to prioritise in a busy production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the engineering team on shift.
• Manage reactive and planned maintenance activities.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Provide technical support across electrical and mechanical issues.
• Maintain engineering standards, procedures and safe working practices.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production to resolve technical issues.
