Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a well-established food manufacturer to recruit a Reliability Engineer for their busy East Kilbride site. You will join a high-volume operation, focusing on improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime across the site.

The role requires experience in Reliability, Maintenance or Engineering within manufacturing and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis. Food/FMCG background is beneficial.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Analyze breakdowns, downtime and equipment performance to identify issues.
• Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
• Support the development of PPM and maintenance strategies.
• Use data to identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
• Support engineering projects and equipment upgrades.
• Collaborate closely with Production and Engineering teams.

Reliability Engineer

East Kilbride | Days

Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established food manufacturing business to recruit a Reliability Engineer for their busy East Kilbride site.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join a high-volume manufacturing operation and play a key role in improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and driving engineering performance.

The Role

Working closely with Engineering and Production, you will analyse equipment performance, identify recurring failures and develop solutions to improve reliability across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Analysing breakdowns, downtime and equipment performance
• Identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions
• Supporting the development of PPM and maintenance strategies
• Using data to identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability
• Supporting engineering projects and equipment upgrades
• Working closely with Production and Engineering teams

About You

You will have experience in a Reliability, Maintenance or Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with root cause analysis and a proven track record of improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.

Food/FMCG experience would be advantageous, but engineers from other high-volume manufacturing environments will also be considered.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
