Job summary

CTSRecruit is recruiting a Reliability Engineer for a market-leading manufacturer in Preston. The role focuses on improving reliability, availability and OEE of critical site assets, reducing downtime and eliminating chronic failures.

This is a system-improvement position, not reactive maintenance, with a Monday to Friday dayshift. You will work with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, conveyors, motors, pumps and PLC-driven equipment, perform FMEA/FMECA analyses and liaise with OEMs to extend asset

Qualifications

• Time served in mechanical/electrical maintenance in FMCG manufacturing.
• Experience improving reliability and reducing downtime is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and fault-diagnosis ability.

Responsibilities

• Reduce unplanned downtime on critical assets.
• Improve OEE through availability and performance gains.
• Eliminate chronic and repeat failures.
• Increase the proportion of planned vs reactive maintenance work.
• Protect asset life and support future capacity requirements.
• Conduct FMEA/FMECA analyses.
• Analyze MTBF, MTTR and lifecycle reliability data to identify improvements.
• Review life cycle cost and align with supplier information for failure mitigation.

We are currently recruiting for a Reliability Engineer for a market leading manufacturing business based in PrestonThis is a permanent role that has been created due to continued expansion and business growth. The Business have also recently invested in new systems and processes for the site to improve and develop the maintenance processes within the team.The role will be responsible for improving the reliability, availability, and performance of critical site assets on site. The role exists toeliminaterepeat failures, reduce unplanned downtime, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) on all key site assets and support systems.This is a system-improvement role, not a reactive maintenance position.The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an FMCG / Industrial maintenance based role within a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of electrical /mechanical systems is a must. Experience working with Hydraulics/ Pneumatics / Motors/ pumps/ Conveyors/ PLC systems/ VSD's are all advantageousThis is a days based role working Mon - Friday 8am - 4PM Role Description

• Key link to OEM's for understanding and information supporting failure mitigation and life cycle extension.

Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience working within a maintenance role within a Fast pacedmanufacturing environment
• Candidates must be Time Served with a demonstrable background in Mechanical /Electrical Maintenance- ideally HNC/HND
• Familiar with Siemens PLC's Fault Finding
• Knowledge of Mechanical systems including Conveyors/ Hydraulics/ Pneumatics/ Motors/ Pumps
• Strong communication skills.
