Job summary

NT Engineering & Manufacturing in East Kilbride is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our engineering team. The role focuses on improving asset reliability across a fast-moving manufacturing environment, with opportunities to influence maintenance strategy and site performance.

You will lead PM development, root cause analysis, and the rollout of autonomous maintenance alongside Operations, while supporting spare parts planning and continuous improvement initiatives across our UK sites.

Qualifications

• Multiskilled engineer with mechanical and electrical capabilities.
• Strong track record in PPM, breakdown analysis and reliability-focused maintenance.
• Experience in leading small teams or frontline management is a plus.
• Able to analyse CMMS and plant data to support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage asset reliability through planned maintenance activity.
• Lead breakdown review and root cause analysis using lean tools.
• Manage critical spares and consumables availability.
• Use CMMS data to shape PM strategy, improving reliability and cost.
• Support asset care and autonomous maintenance with Operations.

Reliability Engineer | East Kilbride

A well established, multi-site manufacturer is looking for a Reliability Engineer to join their engineering team at their East Kilbride site. This is a great opportunity to step into a role where reliability is the core focus, not just one strand of a wider engineering remit, within a business that offers genuine progression across multiple UK sites.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing asset reliability through the development and deployment of planned preventative maintenance activity
• Leading breakdown review and root cause analysis, applying lean tools and best practice to constantly improve asset performance
• Managing critical spares and consumables availability to support the site
• Using CMMS data to shape and refine PM strategy, driving improvements in reliability, efficiency and cost
• Supporting the rollout of asset care and autonomous maintenance activity in partnership with Operations
• Acting as a technical point of reference for maintenance supervisors and technicians
• Getting involved in continuous improvement projects across the site

What's needed:

• Multi-skilled engineer (mechanical and electrical), ideally FMCG or food manufacturing background, though other high-speed manufacturing environments will be considered
• Strong track record in PPM, breakdown analysis and reliability-focused maintenance
• Experience managing critical spares would be a real advantage
• Comfortable analysing CMMS and plant data to make evidence-based maintenance decisions
• Some front-line management or team leadership experience preferred
• A proactive, improvement-driven mindset
