Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment, on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business, seeks a Multi-Skilled Engineer for their busy East Kilbride site on a Panama shift. You will join a strong engineering team, maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns and driving improvements to reliability and safety.

With time-served or suitably qualified background, you will have strong electrical and mechanical skills and a practical hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Time-served engineer or suitably qualified in electrical/mechanical maintenance.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and hands-on maintenance abilities.

Responsibilities

Multi-Skilled Engineer

East Kilbride | Panama Shift

Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established food manufacturing business to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer for their busy East Kilbride site.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join a high-volume manufacturing operation, working as part of a strong engineering team and playing a key role in keeping production running safely and efficiently.

The Role

Reporting into the Engineering function, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance across the site, responding to breakdowns, fault finding and supporting ongoing improvements to equipment reliability.

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Responding to breakdowns and minimising downtime
• Supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects
• Working closely with Production to resolve technical issues
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety

About You

You will be a time-served or suitably qualified Multi-Skilled Engineer with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideally, you will have strong electrical and mechanical skills, good fault-finding ability and a practical, hands-on approach.

Food/FMCG experience would be advantageous, but engineers from other high-volume manufacturing environments will also be considered.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
