Allianz UK is seeking an experienced Release Governance Lead to shape and mature the Release Management Governance & Control Framework. You will operationalise its principles, drive best practice, strengthen oversight and improve delivery through governance, automation opportunities, and centralised release planning.

This hybrid role, based in Guildford, Bournemouth or Birmingham, requires collaboration with delivery teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure readiness before deployment, and to

Qualifications

• Experience in a SIAM or multi-supplier model.
• Experience in financial services or regulated industry.
• Knowledge of PRA, FCA or DORA.
• Exposure to large-scale transformation programmes and complex multi-team release events.
• Understanding of Agile, DevOps and modern software delivery methodologies.
• Experience supporting the implementation of governance frameworks and operating models.
• Familiarity with release automation and AI-driven operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the Release Readiness Assurance process and issue readiness decisions.
• Provide governance oversight for high-risk releases and ensure plans meet standards.
• Review the Forward Schedule of Change and Release Calendar for documentation.
• Challenge delivery teams and suppliers when governance docs do not meet standards.
• Ensure Service Acceptance and Operational Readiness evidence before release deployment.
• Produce governance reporting, risk visibility for senior stakeholders.
• Identify trends and drive continuous improvement in release governance.
• Contribute to Allianz UK's Release Management framework aligned with group standards.
• Build trusted relationships with delivery teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
