Job summary

Arbuthnot Latham seeks a Release and Environment Manager to govern non-production environments, coordinate releases, and ensure compliant deployments in a regulated banking setting. You will collaborate with Change, IT, testing, operations and business stakeholders to optimise environment usage and prevent conflicts.

The role emphasises ITIL-aligned governance, secure change control, and timely delivery, with one day of home working each week in a hybrid model.

Qualifications

Proven practical experience in applying ITIL practices, specifically Release Management, Deployment Management, and Change Enablement, within a complex IT environment.
Experience coordinating changes across multiple environments and stakeholders to ensure compliant deployments.
Strong governance, scheduling, and risk management capabilities within regulated settings.

Responsibilities

Coordinate test environment usage and ownership strategy.
Manage releases across the environment stack for concurrent projects.
Chair the Environment and Release Governance Forum to plan, schedule, and arbitrate bookings and freezes.
Provide consultancy to teams on how to deliver against the release plan.
Document environment topologies, configurations and procedures.
Collaborate with platform heads, project managers, dev, and test leads to forecast demand and avoid conflicts.
Ensure access controls and security policies are followed across environments.
Oversee patching and maintenance of test environments and align with ITIL practices.
