Rehabilitation Technician

An opportunity has arisen within the Community Planned Therapy team for a Rehabilitation Technician on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract or a secondment. The role is integral to supporting registered staff in delivering value‑based interventions that assist adults (aged 18+) with neurological, respiratory, mobility and musculoskeletal deficits, primarily in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physiotherapists, occupational therapists and technical instructors with patient assessment, treatment planning and delivery of therapy.
  • Exercise patients according to approved protocols, record progress and support goal attainment.
  • Provide direct support to patients and carers, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical standards.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with NHS policies.
  • Participate in service‑development projects, in‑service training and continuous professional development.
Required Qualifications
  • Relevant NVQ Level 3 (or NVQ Level 2 with extensive applicable experience) in physiotherapy, occupational therapy or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a rehabilitation setting and awareness of the physiotherapist role.
