Job summary

Birch Veterinary Centre, part of IVC Evidensia, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a hands-on role in a busy first opinion practice in Oxton. You will work closely with veterinary surgeons and the broader team to deliver high-quality nursing care across a varied caseload.

The role is 29.5 hours per week with a 1 in 5 Saturday rota (9:00am–2:00pm) and no out-of-hours requirements, offering a collaborative and supportive environment with opportunities to develop your nursing skills and

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience in clinical practice, with nursing and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
• Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
