Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Dorset Coast Vets on a part-time basis. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering high-quality nursing care and supporting excellent client experiences.

The role includes anaesthetic monitoring, nurse clinics, surgical nursing including dental procedures, and collaboration with vets. 36.5 hours weekly with early/late shifts, one in eight Saturdays, and no out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience in clinical practice with nursing and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Dorset Coast Vets on a part-time basis.

Practice Highlights

• Experienced team made up of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 10 Veterinary Nurses and 10 Receptionists
• Strong culture of learning and supporting one another
• Excellent facilities including two dental suites, x-ray, ultrasound, and separate dog and cat wards and reception areas
• Dedicated nurse consulting room, allowing nurses to fully utilise their skills

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 36.5 hours per week
• A mix of early and late shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm
• 1 in 8 Saturdays, 8:00am-4:30pm
• No out-of-hours work, Sundays or bank holidays

General Responsibilities

• Anaesthetic monitoring and inpatient care
• Running nurse clinics and providing triage support
• Surgical nursing, including Stage 1 dental procedures
• Working collaboratively with vets and the nursing team to deliver excellent patient and client care
