Job summary

IVC Evidensia in Brighton is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join New Priory Vets on a full-time basis. You’ll provide high-quality nursing care, work with veterinary surgeons and the wider team, and contribute to patient care and client experience.

The role offers a varied caseload across first opinion nursing, with a 4-day week, 40 hours, and shift coverage including weekends. You’ll be supported by a collaborative practice culture and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS is required.
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
  • A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Surgery admissions and discharges.
  • Imaging and some cardiology alongside a specialist.
  • Critical care in hospital.
  • Nurse consultations including Healthy Pet Club and second vaccinations.

We are seeking an experienced, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at New Priory Vets on a full-time basis.

Our Brighton hospital offers a full range of first-opinion services, including medicine, surgery, CT, ultrasound, radiography, dentistry and nurse clinics, with the added support of on-site referral specialists. You'll work alongside a collaborative team committed to delivering outstanding patient and client care.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

  • 40 hours per week
  • 4-day week working shifts between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm
  • Weekends and Bank Holidays on rotation
