Job summary

inspiring vet care in Liverpool is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You’ll join Adams Vets across Fazakerley and Wavertree, delivering high-quality nurse care in a supportive, team‑oriented practice.

You'll work closely with two Veterinary Surgeons, VCA and nurse colleagues, cover a varied first opinion caseload, and contribute to client education and preventative care while developing your nursing skills through our Nurse Academy and graduate programmes.

Qualifications

  • Registration as RVN with the RCVS.
  • Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.

Responsibilities

Registered Veterinary Nurse (12-month FTC)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Adams Vets on a 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time basis. Part-time applications will also be considered.

Adams Vets is a friendly, experienced and enthusiastic first opinion practice with two clinics across Liverpool, based in Fazakerley and Wavertree. This gives our team exposure to a varied range of clients and cases, while working within a supportive environment where collaboration, compassion and clinical excellence are key.

You'll be joining a brilliant team of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, including one certificate holder, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 VCAs, 6 support colleagues, our Clinical Director and wider practice team. Our support team brings around 50 years of combined experience, helping the practice run smoothly and ensuring our patients and clients receive excellent care.

Practice Highlights

  • Friendly and experienced team across two Liverpool clinics

  • Team includes 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 VCAs and 6 support colleagues
  • Fully equipped clinics with 3 consult rooms, theatre, prep area, digital x-ray, ultrasound and Idexx lab equipment
How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You'll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

  • 40 hours per week
  • 4-day working week, with weekday shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm
  • 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, 8:30am to 1:00pm
  • Part-time applications will also be considered
