Job summary

White Cross Vets in Widnes is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our supportive clinical team on a part-time basis. You will deliver high-quality nursing care across first opinion cases and collaborate with vets to maintain clinical standards.

You’ll work 22.5 hours weekly, three days on a rota, one in four Saturday mornings, with no out-of-hours duties. We offer career development, a generous CPD allowance, and a people-focused culture that values wellbeing.

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.


You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.


Working Pattern


  • 22.5 hours per week

  • Working 3 days per week on a rota basis

  • 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota

  • No OOH requirement


General Responsibilities

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play an essential role in supporting our veterinary team in a range of clinical tasks, including assisting with various surgical procedures, promoting dental care, and providing consultations for health checks and general care. You will be responsible for running nurse clinics, offering services such as weight management, laser therapy, and more. The role offers a variety of surgical procedures, so you will have the chance to develop your skills in different aspects of veterinary care.
