Remuneration

£30,000 to £32,000 pro rata

We are looking for a Part Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Medivet Mossley Hill.

Mossley Hill is a thriving, growing practice owned by Branch Partner, Josh, based in the heart of lovely south Liverpool. The team at Mossley Hill care about each other's welfare (making sure lunches are taken, finishing on time etc) and always look out for each other. Work/life balance and colleague wellbeing is high on their priority list and they have regular team events including pottery painting, evening meals and even a day at an Aqua Park!

The clinic is modern with high clinical standards. They have excellent equipment such as a brand new Imotek MyLabX5 ultrasound machine, digital x-rays, dental x-rays, broncho/gastroscope and of course a full lab plus a cat ward. They are also working towards ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation. Josh the Branch Partner has a particular passion for dental work and so enjoys a large case-load in this area.

MossleyHill is 20 mins from the city centre and the local area is a thriving community with a love of not only animals, but food and entertainment with excellent eateries and bars a short walk away.

This role is part time working 30 hours per week with 1 in 4 Saturdays or 1 in 8 full weekend at Alder 24 Hour. Salary would work out to be between £22,500 to £24,000.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
• Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense and check medication.
• Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
