Registered Nurse, Ward 5 37.5 hours

We have an exciting opportunity to become a permanent registered nurse within our team.

We are a 28 bedded medical ward caring for patients with a range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Role will consist of 12‑hour shifts; both day and night shift working.

Main duties of the job
  • Manage and provide all aspects of patient care.
  • Admit, assess & escalate any concerns to nurse in charge.
  • Assess NEWS score and effectively manage.
  • Act in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct.
  • Support other nurses in the ward team as necessary.
  • Demonstrate practice based on current advances in nursing practice and research.
  • Comply with infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
  • Comply with responsibility to safeguard children and vulnerable adults, ensuring attendance at appropriate training.
  • Take personal responsibility for putting the person receiving care first, and to challenge poor care as soon as any shortcomings are seen.
