Job summary

EQ Care Group's Acer Lodge in Blackburn is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to care for residents, lead the team, oversee medication administration, and liaise with GPs and families.

You will work 8am–8pm on a 44-hour week (bank hours available) with a salary up to £54,751 pro rata, dependent on experience. This role focuses on compassionate, person-centred care in a 70-bed dementia and nursing home.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a similar care environment desirable.
• Valid NMC Pin – no restrictions.
• Proficiency in IT and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the management team and ensure smooth shift handover.
• Support residents and enable their daily living needs.
• Represent Acer Lodge with a professional, welcoming presence.
• Liaise with GPs and multi-disciplinary teams to promote care.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Home Manager.

Role Overview

As a qualified Registered Nurse at Acer Lodge, you will be placed at the heart of the home along with the people that live here. You will lead by example, as well as ensuring that your team members have the right level of support and guidance. You will provide comfort to those that need it most, liaise with external departments, families, team members and management. Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with the management team and make sure that all relevant information is handed over at the change of shifts


• Ensure each person who lives in the home is supported, and enabled the person’s way – every day


• Represent the Acer Lodge brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.


• To liaise with people who live and work in the home along with, GPs’ and other multi-disciplinary team members to promote excellent care


• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.

Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.


• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
