Job summary

The Oaks, operated by EQ Care Group, is seeking a Qualified Registered Nurse to join a 71-bed care home in Rubery, Birmingham. You will lead and support the care team, manage medication administration, and liaise with families and external teams.

Working 8am–8pm on days, up to 44 hours per week, including alternate weekends, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care and ensure high standards within the home.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC Pin - no restrictions.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the management team and ensure information is handed over at shift changes.
• Support and enable residents daily.
• Represent The Oaks with a professional and welcoming presence for residents and visitors.
• Liaise with GPs and multidisciplinary teams to promote excellent care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager.

Role Overview

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with the management team and make sure that all relevant information is handed over at the change of shifts
• Ensure each person who lives in the home is supported, and enabled the person’s way – every day
• Represent The Oaks brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
• To liaise with people who live and work in the home along with, GPs’ and other multi-disciplinary team members to promote excellent care
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.

Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment desirable
• Valid NMC Pin - no restrictions
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
