Job summary

Gold Care Homes in Broxbourne is seeking a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin to join our brand-new home. You will lead the care team, ensure high standards of care, and maintain accurate communications and reports for day-to-day operations.

The role involves wound management, medicines administration, personal care, and staff supervision. You will participate in training and support the Manager with budgeting and quality audits.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin is required.
• Experience leading a care team is essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Achieve a high standard of care.
• Lead the care team to deliver outcomes for residents.
• Maintain accurate verbal and written reports and inform senior staff of changes.
• Provide wound management and administer medicines according to policy.
• Deliver personal care, comfort, and dignity to residents.
• Supervise and appraise staff; assist budgeting with the Manager’s guidance.
• Assess perspective residents and manage duty rotas.
• Participate in internal quality audits and staff development.

What does the role involve?

• Achieve a high standard of care.
• Leading the care team to deliver outcomes for the people that we support
• Maintain effective communications, both verbal and written, making accurate reports on residents and inform other members of the senior care team of day to day changes.
• Wound management
• Ensure that care procedures are carried out according to policy.
• Be responsible for the ordering, administration and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
• Provide appropriate personal care for residents e.g., washing and dressing and toileting.
• Provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
• Carry out Staff Supervision and Appraisals with Team/Unit allocated.
• Implement changes in routine and/or procedures as agreed with the Manager.
• Assessment of perspective clients/residents.
• Completion of the duty rota as necessary.
• Carry out Internal Quality Audits as agreed with the Manager.
• Participate fully in the training and development of all grades of staff.
• Assist Manager to work within agreed budgets – Mainly Deputy Manager responsibilities
