Job summary

Leaders in Care are supporting the launch of a brand new children’s residential home in Birmingham, for up to three children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and complex needs. We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead the service on a permanent basis.

You will oversee safeguarding, care planning, staff management, compliance and quality assurance, while ensuring the home is prepared to meet Ofsted standards and deliver high-quality outcomes for young people.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Experience managing a children’s residential home and safeguarding.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s home legislation.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day management of the home and lead safeguarding, care planning and quality assurance.
• Build and develop a strong team to meet the needs of up to three children.
• Ensure Ofsted readiness and maintain a safe, supportive environment.

Registered Manager Permanent | Up to £70,000

We're supporting the launch of a brand new children's residential home and are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead the service on a permanent basis.

The home will support up to three children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and complex needs, offering an opportunity to play a key role in establishing and developing a high-quality service from day one.

As Registered Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, working closely with the Responsible Individual and wider leadership team. You'll help shape the service, build a strong team and ensure the home provides a safe, supportive environment that meets the needs of the young people.

You'll provide leadership across safeguarding, care planning, staff management, compliance and quality assurance, while ensuring the home is prepared to meet and maintain Ofsted standards.

What We're Looking For

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent
• Previous experience managing a children's residential home
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children's home legislation
