Job summary

SCR is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand new Children’s Residential Home for young people with EBD in Shrewsbury. You will register with Ofsted, recruit and develop the team, and create a nurturing, structured culture focused on positive outcomes.

Ideal candidates are either current Registered Managers or ambitious Deputy Managers aiming to shape a service from day one, with Ofsted and safeguarding knowledge and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or working towards.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding.
• Current Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Recruit, lead, and develop a committed staff team.
• Establish a nurturing, structured, and therapeutic culture.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
• Oversee safeguarding and care planning.
• Drive high standards, quality assurance, and positive Ofsted outcomes.
• Take full ownership of the home’s development and success.
