RJS Resourcing Ltd seeks a Registered Manager to launch a new children's home in Cambridgeshire. You will own the Ofsted registration, build a team, and shape a safe, nurturing environment for young people.

You’ll work with support from an experienced Responsible Individual and senior leadership. A strong leader with safeguarding expertise will guide the startup and regulatory setup.

Qualificações

• Experience in children's residential care (EBD preferred).
• Previous Registered Manager or strong Deputy ready to step up.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Ofsted registration process and take full responsibility for the home.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing staff team.
• Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for young people.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and embed strong safeguarding practices.
• Develop and oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour strategies.
• Drive the home towards achieving Good and Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with local authorities and partner agencies.
• Manage budgets, resources, and overall performance of the service.

With an established background in supported accommodation for young people, the organisation is now expanding into residential childcare and is seeking a passionate Registered Manager to lead the service from the very beginning.

About the Home

• Location: Cambridgeshire
• Property: 6-bedroom residential property
• Proposed Registration: 2-bed children's home
• Client Group: Children with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
• Stage: Pre-registration (Ofsted application in progress)
• Growth Plans: Clear plans to expand following successful registration

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Experience within children's residential care (EBD experience preferred)
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks
• Confident, resilient leader with a child-centred approach
• Full UK driving licence
