Job summary

Joining Careers Education seeks a Registered Manager in Ramsgate to lead a children's home, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment where young people can grow and succeed. You will supervise staff, drive quality care, handle budgets, and ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

The role requires extensive residential care management experience, leadership skills, and a strong safeguarding background, with Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications. A full UK driving licence is also essential.

Location: Ramsgate, Kent

We have an opportunity for a Registered Manager to join our team to ensure exceptional care and a nurturing environment for our young people in our children's home.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Manager, you will support young people in the many different aspects of daily life within our homes including:

• Manage a warm and friendly home that is a safe and supportive environment for our children and young people to achieve positive outcomes authentic to them
• Ensure compliance with the Childrens Homes Regulations and deliver high-quality care.
• Lead and inspire a motivated team, providing guidance and support.
• Manage budgets, resources, and the home environment.
• Safeguard young people and liaise with professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure the home's statement of purpose is fulfilled.

Qualifications

What we're looking for from you:

• Extensive experience in children's residential care management.
• Experience working in a LD/EBD home is desirable.
• A strong understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A commitment to providing a nurturing and empowering environment.
• You hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children's and Young People's Workforce
• You also hold your QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children's Services or be willing to undertake this qualification as part of the role.
• Hold a full UK driving license
