Job summary

SGS-Care-Ltd is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in Chester. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring safe, nurturing, person-centred care while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

The role requires Level 5 Leadership & Management, Ofsted Registered Manager eligibility, and at least two years in residential childcare management. Salary £50,000-£70,000 plus performance bonuses and a clear leadership development pathway.

Service Users:

Children and young people with complex Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), supported within solo placements and multi-bed residential homes

Qualifications Required:

• Level 5 Leadership & Management in Health and Social Care
• Eligible for Ofsted Registered Manager registration

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in residential childcare management or a senior supervisory role
• Proven track record of delivering positive outcomes for children with complex needs
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulatory standards, the Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding

The Home:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a children's residential home supporting children and young people with complex Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring children receive safe, nurturing and person-centred care while maintaining full regulatory compliance. You will oversee both solo placement and multi-bed home settings, adapting support to meet the individual needs of each young person.
