Overview

Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care

Location: Oswestry

Salary: £46,150 – £63,650 per year (DOE, qualifications & bonuses)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (with flexibility for additional hours/On-Call)

Sleep-ins: Not required

Service: Children’s Home

Service Users: Young People aged 5–17 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and resilient Registered Manager to lead this service and make a lasting difference in the lives of young people.

You will:

  • Provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment
  • Lead and inspire staff teams to deliver high standards of care
  • Have strong knowledge of Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and safeguarding
  • Demonstrate resilience, motivation, and commitment to positive outcomes
  • Be flexible to join the On-Call Manager rota when required
Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Diploma Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) – essential
  • Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or Level 4 Registered Manager Award) – desirable
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential childcare
  • Minimum 2 years in a management role
